The Jungle and Ocean Rooms are alive with learning. We have been sailing through our alphabet a week at a time and have just finished Q. Also, we have been starting our lowercase letters in handwriting. It is exciting because we have been focusing on our sight words for we have readers ready to go! Ask your student what are the Hard Workers (aka vowels) and the sounds that they can make because I think they could tell you:)
Recently, one very fun event we did for the letter P was to act out the story of the 3 Little Pigs. We did several versions, each had cute little pigs and a Big, Bad Wolf (that really wasn't so bad). The fun part was "huffing and puffing" and blowing the straw and stick houses down. No luck on blowing down the brick house.
Another part of our class that we all look forward to is when Ms. Sherri comes in for music. She brings the neatest instruments in for the students to play and will play her auto harp and guitar for them. We love Ms. Sherri! Through our acting experience and music, I predict some actors and singers on a future stage! TotSpot has talent!

3 Little pigs too cute for words! |

Even if this little piggy can not see, she played her part well! |
|
"Not by the hair of my Chinny-Chin-chin!" |
|
"Then I will huff and puff and blow your house down!" |

We can't talk about the letter P without some popcorn popping! |
