Ms. Debbie's MWF PM Class - 3 Year Olds
Here are some pictures from our Thanksgiving Feast. Look at all of our cute Pilgrims! The t-shirts they made were so cute and the hats complete the outfit and are perfect for the celebration of being thankful. As we sat at the table and ate our feast, we talked about all the things we were thankful for and we discussed the reason we celebrate Thanksgiving.
Our tables were decorated with orange tablecloths and small decorative pumpkins in the middle. The children used their turkey Thanksgiving placemats they made in class.
During circle time, we practice making the letter of the week. Here we are making the letter "J" with our wood pieces. This is a great way to help the children learn how to form the letters. They really love using the wood pieces and they are very proud of themselves when they make the letter on their own.
We had a dentist come visit us and they had a lot of fun, hands-on activities for the children to participate in to help teach them how important it is to take care of their teeth. They did a great job of making sure their visit was kid-friendly and the kids loved it!
During our color/shape week, we played with colored shaving cream and made a rainbow. The children had to pick the right color items and glue it on our big rainbow hanging on the wall. They also used star stickers to stick around an outline of a shape. This project helps with their fine motor skill and learning their shapes as well.
Handwriting practice........everyday!
It's Christmas time!!!
Here are some fun pictures of what we did before
we went on Christmas break.
This is slime but it is made out of Insta-Sno. It is really cool and the kids loved playing with it.
We made this Christmas tree out of paper plates. The children took a big round magnetic ball with a few squirts of blue and yellow paint on the plate and held a magnetic wand underneath the plate and moved it around in a circle until the colors mixed well enough to make it green. This was a science lesson and an art project all in one. The kids thought this was very cool! We were pretty proud of our Forest Room Christmas tree!
Story time with Ms. Theresa. After Ms. Theresa read a fun Christmas story, we let the children decorate sugar cookies and drink hot cocoa with whipped cream and marshmallows. YUM!!
Music with Ms. Kim and making drums with plastic cups.
It's always a pleasure to work with these kids.
Ms. Theresa and I have a lot of fun with them!
Hope you enjoyed the pictures.
Love,
Ms. Debbie and Ms. Theresa
