We've been busy in the Space room! Here are some highlights from the past several months.
Field trips, celebrations, special visitors, and lots of learning and fun going on in the Space room!
Using different means to make letters: playdoh, candy corn
They love using the Smartboard to practice letters, shapes and numbers.
Fall in the Space room was a lot of fun and hands on experiences.
Exploring pumpkins, making leaves with corn syrup, painting with marbles,
pumpkin patterns, and playing with leaves. We love fall in the Space room!
Raking leaves is fun to do, fun to do, fun to do! Raking leaves is fun to do, to do, to do, to do!
Writing has become an everyday assignment.
All of the students have made wonderful progress on their letters.
We are very proud of them!
Exploring our world with goggles, magnifying glasses, and experiments.

Math time:
Roll-A-Reindeer, learning about money, practicing shapes,
building shapes with q-tips, counting bugs in a jar.
Parties and celebrations!
Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah
We had a special visitor talk to us about how Hanukkah is celebrated and
he taught the students a few songs and how to play with a dreidel.
It was a great learning experience!
We also ate latkes and applesauce! Yum!

We were so lucky to witness the transformation of a
caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly right before our eyes!
We had a special visitor: a kangaroo rat!
Two of them, mom and daughter.
Mom's name is Izzy and the daughter's name is Bindy.
They were amazing to watch and to learn about!
