All About Apples!

A Fun Week in the Circus Room with Ms. Brooklyn

This week we learned all about apples!
We had fun learning about how apples grow, about apple seeds, and the different colors of apples. We focused on the letter A and the number 6.
We worked on writing the letter and number and talked about things that start with A.
Here are some of the things we did this week:

Making play-dough apples to go on our trees.

Stamping our apple pictures with red, yellow, and green- the colors of apples.

Practicing writing the number 6.

Practicing writing the letter A.

Counting apples to put on the apple tree.

Getting ready for circle time.

Talking about the letter A and things that start with A at circle time.

Using Zoophonics to talk about the letter A and talking about the number 6 at circle time.

In class we also love to play restaurant, play with trains, and build.

PM Fun in the Farm Room

We just love our 2 & 3 year olds in the Farm Room. Here is what we've

been up to......

Here's a few photos from December. The students in the Farm room really enjoy music & movement time...

...and story time.

They also love when our music teacher, Ms. Kim, comes to visit once a week......

Last week, we had fun with our Things that Go unit!

We had fun painting the students' feet for one of their Valentines activities

We've welcomed a LOT of new friends into our afternoon farm room classes! We are loving getting to know all of our new friends!
We also welcomed a new Assistant Teacher, Ms. Brooklyn, into our MWF class. Ms. Brooklyn has worked for TotSpot for the past two years during Summer Camp and has also been a Substitute Teacher. She recently graduated from ASU with her Elementary Education Degree. We are so happy to have Brooklyn join our fun class full of energetic 2's and nearly 3's.

Here's a few pictures from our Valentines Day activities this week!

It has been such a privilege to be able to teach the kids of the afternoon FARM class.  They are smart, creative and a delight to be around.  The kiddos enjoy learning their letters and numbers everyday.  They are socially interacting with one another and are being the best students they can be.  Even though we have not been together for the whole school year, we are honored to have been a part of their learning process this year. YYYEEEEAAA to the afternoon FARM students!

Ocean Room Happenings--Ms. Gabi & Ms. Emmalee

I spy with my little eye...

some busy children learning in the Ocean Room!

The children love learning about letters and sounds through art, science, language and math centers.

"U" is for unicorn. We had a few mythical creatures visit our class.

 "U" is also for umbrella.

"C" is for cars...

 and caterpillar!

"B" is for beads and bubbles!

"K" is for kitchen concoctions.

The children also enjoy practicing their handwriting with the Wet-Dry-Try app.

Patterning activities prepare our kiddos for kindergarten.

Everyone loves curling up with their own book after snack time.

I spy with my little eye...

a classroom full of learning!

We love being together!
