Minds in Bloom

As the school year flew by,

in the blink of an eye, 

the love and dedication of Ms. Nettie

helped children become Kindergarten ready. 

The progress made in each student 

showed much beautiful improvement. 

We sang, we laughed, we learned,

and as time went on confidence was greatly earned.

I will miss the sweet, little faces, 

but I know they are off to new amazing places. 

 

Mrs. Lisa and I are very proud to announce our graduating class of 2014! We wish you great luck and an amazing journey ahead. Thank you for the wonderful memories, stories, and giggles that we shared over the year.

They are definitely ready to move to the 3's class in the Fall and we will miss being their teachers!

Ms. Suzi's MWF Preschool Class

It's been an exciting spring in our classroom.  We've had a great time going to the zoo, hatching butterflies from cocoons, learning how to play with yoyos, and even being mad scientists!  It's fun to look back on all the fun we've had together as the year is ending!  Thank you parents for trusting us with your fantastic children!  Every day has been a adventure in our class!  Just look at the excited faces of these kids as they learn new things!

 

We watched the caterpillars spin cocoons, then hatch into beautiful butterflies.  They loved our class so much, they didn't want to fly away!

 

 

 

What happens when you mix water and baking soda? Then add some vinegar.  Does the same thing happen when you use salt?  What about flour or colored water?  Scientists in training!

 

We learned that baking soda and vinegar makes a volcano erupt!  Look at that!

 

 

 

There are so many creations you can make with tubes and tape.

Springtime on The Ranch!

Spring is in the air ‘round these parts as we wind down the last few weeks of Pre-K in the Ranch classroom!  We have been having so much fun~from our Easter Celebration, music class, camping week and my AMAZING STUDENTS!! It’s hard to believe summer will be here soon and they will be heading off to Kindergarten in the fall.  I am so proud of all their hard work and creative imaginations as they inspire me every day!

Ms. Sherry always brings great activities for us during music class!  The students really enjoyed the parachute and they always love singing along with Ms. Sherry and her guitar.

 

 

“Camping Week” has been a huge hit with the kids!  We roasted (pretend) marshmallows on our (pretend) fire, dug bugs out of our play dough, recreated the forest with gravel, pine cones and twigs and went “horseback riding”!

 

 

I just love what great friends everyone has become in our class.  We have created some great friendships and have had lots of laughs this spring.

Ms. Gretchen's classes enjoy Easter Egg fun!

In April we completed a very exciting unit on butterflies. We watched our caterpillars build their cocoons and eventually turn into beautiful butterflies. We were able to release our butterflies outside and watch 6 of our butterflies fly away to make new homes!

 

We really enjoyed our Easter Celebration at preschool. We did lots of fun spring activities and loved our Easter egg hunt in the classroom!

We have been working hard on getting ready for Mother's Day. The kids are so excited to sing their songs and present a gift to their mothers. As we are nearing the end of the year, we are finishing up assessments and getting the kids excited for summer. It has been so fun being their teacher and they are ready for pre-k!
