Laura and Emmalee's MWF am Ranch Class

This past week, our focus was on letters M and T. 

The children have the Phonogram Song memorized now and are ready to put all those letter sounds into practice. Now they have the tools to start sounding out small (CVC) words like mat sat lip lid pot mop ect.  They read Bob Books at home for extra practice.

They are really excelling in their handwriting too. We will start concentrating on making lower case letters. All of the children can write their names in lower case already!

 They used popcorn to use as blossoms for our (T) Trees craft.

We flipped the table to build T for Towers.

 Pirates and Princess was our last theme for the Dramatic Play Bin:)

 Our Dramatic Play  bin this month is Construction Theme. They are loving it!

We have been having so much fun this fall. For Halloween the kids were exploring pumpkins, making spider webs and shaving cream ghosts.



 The kids were so cute wrapped like mummy's during our Halloween Party!!

While we were learning about the letters S and A, the kiddos were able to be mad scientists, experimenting with different ingredients. 

We also have a new friend in class! He has been a pleasure to have! Welcome Caden!! He loves playing with the blocks!!!

The blocks are a free play favorite!!

Jaxson, Morgan, and I even made a zoo with them! 

When we learned about the letter M and T, our three girls in class loved brushing some teeth with shaving cream.

The kids were reading to each other during reading time. So sweet.

During centers this last week the class sorted skittles and graphed how many they had. They loved this activity and did an amazing job! 

The class is learning so much! So proud of them!!

Halloween and More!

 

We have been having so much fun in our class! Halloween is my personal favorite holiday and I could really tell that the students loved it just as much! We had a great time dressing up together, doing Halloween inspired centers, and even having a fun little Halloween Party! At the party the kiddos were able to wrap themselves ( with help from Mom, Dad, Grandparents, and teachers) as Mummies as well as make some yummy pumpkin pudding "dirt" cups!

Our class has been working really hard on handwriting, letter recogintion and number recognition! They LOVE snack time as well:)

It is truly a joy to come to class and spend time and a passion for learning with your children!
